The Commercial Hotel is situated in the heart of Thurso, on Princes Street, two minutes walk from Thurso Beach.  The hotel is over 150 years old and has the oldest bar in Caithness “Eh Comm Bar”

We are close to all the town centre shops, restaurants and a number of stunning visitor attractions, making it ideally suited of you are travelling on business or leisure.  Doing the North Coast 500?  We have secure parking available, too.

Breakfast is cooked from fresh and locally sourced ingredients with a choice of Full Scottish, Vegetarian or Continental.  Breakfast is served from 7am to 9.30am, but if you would rather a later breakfast, you are welcome at the Cafe Cardosi along the road.

Although we do not offer evening meals, there are many fabulous  restaurants less than a minutes walk away such as the Red Pepper and Bydand’s, or if you fancy a takeaway, a choice of Chinese, Indian or traditional Scottish Fish & Chips.

We have five modern bedrooms which are furnished to a modern standard, and each room is fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible – with an en-suite bathroom and shower, fast and free Wi-Fi Internet access, Flat Screen TV with Freeview, Tea/Coffee, Biscuits, Iron and Hairdryer.

All rooms have a double bed and our standard rates are based on two people sharing, but we also offer single occupancy rates.
